@alphecca2539 First off, for the 08 election Obama did not get a million dollars from BP. They donated $71,000. They also gave 36,700$ to McCain, does that mean they own him also? Secondly drilling in shallow water has the exact same risks as drilling in deep water. Unless you’re talking about like 10 feet – do you want them to set up oil rigs right on the beach? Third what the fuck does “free markets” even have to do with the oil spill? Are you talking about price controls? Tariffs? NAFTA?

Why would BP (who gave a million bucks in campaign donations to Preznit Unicorn btw) or any oil company want to drill five miles out and a mile deep, when they could – in a sane country w/o environazis – drill far closer to shore and minimize risk? Also – who set the insurance cap at a measly 75 million dollars? The government. Had FREE MARKETS been a factor BP would have been deterred. Obamugabe and Nasty Pelousy will bankrupt us.
