Why would anyone think Rihanna deserved to be beaten up?

I don’t care if she was “provoking him” or whatever some people are saying. Nobody deserves to be beaten up. It is still violence. And it still hurts. It annoys me that some people think that beating a woman is okay because they dislike Rihanna or love Chris Brown. Agree or disagree?

hell no she did not deserve to have been treated like this it was not just a little slap or something like that she had bruises, bite marks and most of all she was choked until she was unconscious she could have died. am really really disappointed in chris brown.
maybe she did it to herself to get more publicity ?
I agree with you! Exactly how I feel!If Rihanna had been provoking him all along in the beginning, Chris should have taken notice to it and left her. Things can only get worse from there if you don’t.

I agree 100 percent. No one deserves to be beat up. I don’t want to be accused of being sexist but I don’t believe there is ever an excuse for a man to beat a woman. Period.
Ok this is solely my thoughts since I work in a crisis center dealing with this type of stuff. Regardless if they are famous, a man WITHOUT a history of violence was most likely provoked. In no way shape or form is that ok, it’s just the basis of the act. At the same time, no one knows them personally, or how they are normally, or if any drugs or alcohol were involved. Also, many times throughout an investigation the question is asked “did he hit you?” and whatever answer may come out of the victim’s mouth it is swayed in a ‘yes’ we also know about 33% (one third) of the time the victim may embellish the verbal walkthrough. Also, the dead truth may be he just jacked her across the face. The fact of the matter is, don’t factor in the fame, just the name of the game.
I Agree!!!I think that the people who say “Rihanna was askin for it”or”if she hit him he should hit her”really have no clue what they are talkin aboutor (luckily for them) don’t have a clue about domestic abuse, or what it feels like to be threatened by ur partner, or to know someone whoisI agree we might not know the whole story- but if he hit her, he hit her. No woman deserves that. End of
People are sick and they defend celebrities no matter what. It is disgusting. Kandy, you are sick. These chickenheads love Chris Brown and hate Rihanna because she’s gorgeous and talented. Chris Brown is a sick man.
when i got beaten up by my dad nobody cared, i got beaten up everday when i came home from school, and she got beaten up for 30 seconds oo yeah big deal, could care less who gets beaten up this days

Exactly – I agree!It’s so annoying that people are taking sides just because their opinion of somebody, without even knowing what happened!They have to put that aside – NO WOMAN DESERVES TO GET BEATEN. . . . especially by her own boyfriend. It is absolutely still violence and assault. Rihanna’s done nothing to deserve something so devastating.
i have to really speak my mind on this situation. first of all, if this happened CHRIS BROWN needed to be really checked. i don’t care about no gum commercial. he should have never put his hands on her. point blank period. end of story! his father was even abusive to his mother. if i was not mistaken he even said he “would never hit a woman” well i guess that ship sailed. i surprised! dude need some help. i kinda lost respect for him. ummm, i don’t think his career would be the same.
