Heal the Kids, Part 3 of 4. Beautiful and important speech by Michael Jackson to Oxford Union (Oxford University, UK) in 2001. Full text included in video. Michael was a kind and gentle person, intelligent and funny, warm and loving. And a true humanitarian. Here he pleads for us all to reconnect with our families, to forgive, to end the violence in schools and heal the hearts of the children, including our own inner child. He talks about his own childhood and the difficulties he faced in the relationship with his father. I wish everyone would listen to this. We miss you, Michael. I love you forever. Michael is the most beautiful person, both on the inside and on the outside. I’ve always known he was a sensitive person but this speech just shows how considerate he was, how loving and how forgiving he was of his own father. He was bigger than life. His love for his children should inspire all of us.

i always cry everytime he gets to the part when he talks about his kids.
i hope d kids will have a copy of this speech.
His children are WELL LOVED by him so i know that they are growing up with wisdom and understanding of the whole situation.
i wish i was there in that very moment when he was delivering speech..

@MariaSue1 I have to say I agree with you. Poor Michael desperately wanted a father so he forgave him – and it’s great for him. But did Joe ever ASK for forgiveness? Did he ever admit his mistakes, did he ever apologize to Michael? Because only if he did the healing can be complete.

@MissJohnnyJackson me too. i started bawling my eyes out. i miss him so much. i wish i could thank michael right now for inspiring me and also making me reflect on my own relationship with my parents. he raised so many valid points in this speech. what a wonderful man. an also an amazing orator!

I wont bore people with my story… but i feel close to MJ because i understand him from my own experiences… i get him. I also understand why kids and teenagers act up out of pain and neglect.

My 3 year old is lounging in my lap while I listen to this, in her Tinkerbelle nightie, blowing a whistle and talking away to herself. I’m nodding my head at everything MJ says. So I think I’ll pause these, and come back later. I’m going to go outside and play with her on her bike now b/c she’s waited patiently for me…I’ve just been reminded how special and huge this will be in her little day.
